Hinkson Fields Closure

The Hinkson fields will be closed Saturday, August 8 and Sunday, August 9, 2009.

This closure is to complete a City and University-approved “controlled burn” so as to eliminate the debris that accumulated as a result of the flooding this past spring.

Green Tennis Center Closure

Green Tennis Center outdoor courts will be closed Friday, August 7 until Sunday, August 23, 2009.

The four outdoor courts at the Green Tennis Center will be closed during this period. This closure is due to necessary scheduled periodic repairs and to apply a new layer of “color coat” to the playing surface. This project will provide for a safer and improved playing surface.

The indoor courts remain open, but a Green Tennis Center membership is required to use the indoor courts.

Courts 7-10 will be closed through August 14, 2009.

This closure is for routine maintenance and care as we sand and reseal the hardwood courts as well as to apply a completely enhanced and new color of paint to the surrounding walls.
